Where do you want to go?
wave-tour

At the southeastern tip of Rameswaram Island, Dhanushkodi is a windswept sandspit famed for turquoise waters, migratory birds, and haunting 1964-cyclone ruins (church, station, post office). It sits by the fragile chain of shoals known as Adam’s Bridge/Rama Setu, where the Palk Strait meets the Gulf of Mannar a dramatic land’s-end landscape.

Drive from Rameswaram town over Pamban Bridge to the blacktop road that ends at Arichal Munai; come at sunrise/sunset for the best light, but do not swim currents are strong. Check local police/forest advisories for timing or weather restrictions, carry sun/wind protection, and expect minimal facilities near the tip. Nearest rail: Rameswaram Jn.; nearest major airport: Madurai (IXM).
